Description

The Solux Colossus Electronic Ballast is the latest lighting technology for indoor cultivation, and is specifically made for use with LEC or CMH double ended lamps (Ceramic Metal Halogenide), lighting superior to the typical sodium vapor lamps and metal halides, in addition to LED and LEP (plasma).

The Colossus electronic ballast incorporates an internal microprocessor that allows a smooth ignition, intelligently detecting the lamp voltage to prolong its duration, in addition to a stepped ignition when used online, allowing the lamps to be individually switched on in a range from 0 to 7 seconds, which reduces the inrush current and prevents overloads.

It has all series of input protections for high and low voltage, lightning, irruption current, overload or voltage drop, as well as output as open circuit, short circuit, end of life of the bulb, failure to start, over voltage or protection with rectifying effect.

• Fast on. It reaches its maximum power in less than a minute, however electromagnetic ballasts take 20 minutes to be at full capacity.

• Compact and small design. A ballast of 600 weighs less than 4 kilos compared to 8 kilos of the electromagnetic ballast.
• Produces less heat.
• Safety circuit. To protect the ballast and the lamp from any damage.
• Extends the life of the lamp. The loss of lamp lumens over time is dramatically less than that of a conventional ballast.
• More lumens. From 20 to 30% more lumens than with an electromagnetic ballast. More lumens = More harvest.
• Adjustable light intensity. To adapt the light to the phenological state of the plants, Solux ballasts allow the light to be adapted from 50%, to 75%, 100% and 110% (Super Lumens).
