Description
Lumatek dimmable electronic ballasts are high performance horticultural ballasts designed to deliver quality results every time.
These ballasts produce a stable and consistent light output. They are microprocessor controlled and feature smart start and short circuit protection so the switches in your room won’t trip.
Small, compact and quiet ballasts that are really easy to use and assemble. They are efficient ballasts that produce little heat and are manufactured with unique quality electronic components, ensuring long life and minimal PAR/PPF loss.
Mains to ballast cable: 1.5 m.
Ballast to lamp cable: 2,5 m. Cable with female trip

ADVANTAGES OF USING DIMMABLE BALLASTS
The photosynthetic apparatus of plants is highly efficient in absorbing and utilising light; however, high light intensities in early vegetative stages generate more photochemical energy than the leaves can use for photosynthesis. For this reason the plants reach saturation point (point at which the light intensity does not generate an increase in the photosynthetic rate) and as a consequence there is a useless waste of electricity. The ideal is to adapt the light intensity to the phenological state of the plants as they grow, i.e. to reach the compensation point where (at a given temperature) the rate of photosynthesis and the rate of respiration are equalised.
The power regulator allows us to adapt the light intensity to the “age” of the plants, so that in young plants and cuttings we can start at 50% and progressively increase the intensity as they grow, until they reach maturity where we will reach 100% (or 110% in ballasts with “Super Lumens” mode).
